ABOUT THE ARTIST
Tim Mielke is a predominantly self-taught artist from Cincinnati, OH. He has had a love and passion for artwork since he was about 5 years old, whether it was drawing or sculpting things out of clay, often receiving accolades from teachers and classmates for his work. While in high school, Tim did not like the "rules" of art class, and this same disdain followed him to his years in art college, preferring to create pieces based on the topics he liked, as opposed to what someone was telling him to do. Later, Tim also developed a love for music, which coincided with his passion for artwork. It was these two loves that he fitted together to create his own niche in the art world; creating original pieces inspired by songs.
Musically-inspired pieces are not the only types of artwork that Tim creates. When he was a teenager, he was introduced to comic books and was immediately hooked on the artwork, citing his biggest influences to be Jim Lee, Greg Capullo, Esad Ribic, and Marc Silvestri. He has been writing several of his own original comics, with the hopes of finishing several issues in 2024."
